Traditional grape varieties from the Douro Demarcated Region, planted in field blends.
Port wine originating from a selection of small family lots with an average age of more than 20 years, aged over time in old oak casks and large vats.
Sourced from traditional Douro Superior vineyards planted with a wide diversity of grape varieties in field blend, an ageing process that lends concentration and aromas of great complexity.
“For me, this 20 Years Old Port shows one of the finest balances that ageing can give to a wine. It brings together the depth and complexity of older wines with the freshness, vivacity and the fruit character that are still there after all these years.
Deep amber in colour, with red and golden highlights, it offers an elegant, complex nose in which dried fruits, toasted almond, walnut, fig and raisin stand out, followed by delicate nuances of orange peel, spice and fine oak.
On the palate it is rich and enveloping, yet at the same time fresh and balanced. The natural acidity balances the sweetness, giving the wine precision, elegance and a long finish. It ends long and delicate, leaving a memory of dried fruits, spice and citrus.
This is a wine I like to share slowly, at the table or at the end of a meal, because it shows in a very authentic way the Douro, time itself, and my family's tradition.”
